Our Reef-Conscious Promise

Home to the world’s largest coral reef system, The Great Barrier Reef, Australia has a pretty special relationship with the ocean. Yet there are still no clear, consistent beauty-industry rules here around ingredients that may affect coral reefs and marine ecosystems.

At The Salty Babe Co, we choose to formulate with the ocean in mind. Our products are made without ingredients restricted under certain reef-protection laws in places such as Hawaii, Thailand, Palau and the US Virgin Islands, while also taking guidance from recognised reef-conscious ingredient standards.

Wherever possible, we favour ingredients that are naturally derived, water-soluble, or designed to break down or dissipate over time, helping reduce the likelihood of long-term environmental buildup.

We know no topical product is completely impact-free. Our goal is simply to make thoughtful choices wherever we can, creating effective hair + skin care that works beautifully, while keeping the ocean in mind.
