The perfect starting point if you're unsure where to begin!

Below, you'll find the recommended order to apply your skincare, detailed explanations of various skin types, along with product recommendations to address your specific needs, to help you choose the best solutions for your skin.

Whether you're dealing with dryness, oiliness, sensitivity, acne or combination skin, our guide will help you achieve healthier, more beautiful skin.

THE BASICS

When starting a new routine, it's important to keep it simple so you don't overload your skin, which can lead to purging and breakouts. Begin with: a gentle cleanser to remove impurities, a toner to balance your skin's pH levels, and a moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated.

Starting a new routine can be defined as: First time using skincare or wanting to establish consistency in your skincare, transitioning from traditional to natural products, or wanting to begin a new regimen to tackle particular issues such as breakouts or dryness.

By focusing on these fundamental steps, you can build a solid foundation for healthy skin without the risk of irritation from using too many products at once.

CLEANSE

Cleansing your skin is a crucial first step in any skincare routine. It helps to remove dirt, oil, makeup, and impurities that accumulate on your skin throughout the day. By cleansing regularly, you prevent clogged pores, reduce the risk of breakouts, and create a clean canvas for your skincare products to work more effectively. This simple step ensures that your skin stays fresh, clear, and healthy.

TONE

Using a toner is an essential step in your skincare routine that helps to balance your skin's pH levels after cleansing. Toners remove any residual impurities and prepare your skin to better absorb moisturisers and other treatments, along with infuse your skin with extra nutrients that get locked in after the moisturising step. Toners can also tighten pores, hydrate, and refresh your skin, making it a crucial component for maintaining a clear and balanced complexion.

MOISTURISE

Applying a moisturiser is a vital step in your skincare routine that helps to keep your skin hydrated and protected. Moisturisers work by sealing in the moisture and nutrients from your toner and other treatments like serums, creating a barrier that prevents water loss and keeps your skin soft and supple. This step is crucial for maintaining your skin's elasticity, preventing dryness, and protecting against environmental stressors, ensuring your skin remains healthy and radiant.

Skincare Application

Below is a recommendation for the order you should apply your skincare for those wanting a more complex system. By following these steps, you can enhance the effectiveness of each product and maintain a glowing, healthy complexion. Remember, consistency and proper application are essential for the best results.

01. Cleanse

1 x Morning

2 x Night (Double Cleanse)

Apply to damp skin in circular motions. Rinse with warm (not hot) water or wipe away with face cloth. First cleanse removes dirt, makeup and impurities from the skin, with the second cleanse, cleansing the skin and delivering nutrients.

02. Tone

Morning & Night

Throughout the day for a refresh

Spray a fine mist over the entire face / neck area. Allow to Air Dry. Toners balance PH & remove any residual impurities and prepare your skin to better absorb moisturisers and other treatments, along with infuse your skin with extra nutrients.

03. Eye Cream

Morning & Night

While Toner is air drying, apply eye treatment using 3rd fingertip, as this is the most gentle.

You should apply before facial oils and moisturiser to prevent heavier product residue on fingertips from reaching the delicate eye area.

04. Serums

Morning & Night

Apply to face using fingertips with small, circular motions. If using more than one serum, let the first absorb into the skin before applying the next. Avoid Eye Area

05. Oils

Night Time

Apply to desired areas of the face / neck. Be sure to focus on areas that produce the least oil, such as cheeks and neck area. Avoid the Eye Area.

06. Moisturiser

Morning - Day Moisturiser

Night - Night Cream

Apply evenly over your entire face and neck area, being careful not to get any into the eye area.

If you don't feel you need extra moisture at night, simply use your usual moisturiser in place of a night cream.

+ Exfoliate

1-2 Times Per Week

Complete after cleansing (step 1), as required. Apply to the face and neck in circular motions.

Exfoliating removes impurities and dead skin cells, allowing your other skincare products to absorb more effectively into the skin.

++ Mask

1-2 Times Per Week

Starting a New Routine

THE BASICS

Starting out with a new skincare routine can be overwhelming due to the plethora of options available. However, it's important to keep things simple initially to avoid overloading your skin, which can lead to purging and breakouts. When your skin has adjusted and you are happy with the results, then you can slowly introduce targeted treatments.

Starting a new routine can be defined as: First time using skincare or wanting to establish consistency in your skincare, transitioning from traditional to natural products, or wanting to begin a new regimen to tackle particular issues such as breakouts or dryness.

Normal Skin

NO PARTICULAR CONCERN

‘Normal skin’ is a term widely used to refer to skin that is well balanced. People with normal skin rarely experience oiliness or dryness. When skin concerns do arise, they are generally easy and quick to treat. Those with normal skin tend to have small pores, exhibit few lines and wrinkles, little to no blemishes, an even skin tone and lack excess shine.

Normal Skin Type
Oily Skin Type

Oily / Problematic / Combination Skin

ANTI-BLEMISH & ACNE

People with oily skin over-produce oil (or sebum). Because of this, they have a tendency to experience grease and shine on their face, have large pores, visible blackheads and whiteheads and be prone to hard-to treat breakouts. Acne on oily skin often looks red, shiny, blemished and inflamed.

Combination skin features more than one different skin type (for example, both oily and dry skin maybe present on different areas of the face). Very often, those with combination skin experience different skin challenges in their t-zone than they do on their cheeks and around their eyes (for example, have an oily t-zone and a dry cheek/eye area).

BRIGHTENING

Dull skin lacks it's ability to look healthy and radiant. It
can be dull in appearance, built up with pollutants, dead skin cells, be sun damaged or even have pigmentations & uneven texture.

Sun Damaged Skin Type

Sun Damaged / Stressed Skin

RENEW

Sun-damaged or stressed skin shows signs of prolonged exposure to UV rays and environmental stressors. This skin type often exhibits pigmentations, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven tone, and dark spots. Redness, dryness, and a lack of elasticity are also common concerns.

FIRMING

Prematurely ageing / Mature Skin skin typically begins to see signs of fine lines and wrinkles or loss of
elasticity. It can often have less oil production and
requires more hydration. Premature ageing of the skin can begin from around 25 years of age.

Dry Skin Type

Dry Skin

HYDRATE & NOURISH

People with dry skin produce less oil (or sebum)
than normal skin making it appear tight, rough and
flaky and may feel itchy and irritated.

People with dry skin may be more likely to
experience wrinkles. Those with dry skin find it
difficult to retain moisture and very often, the
deeper layers of the skin are moisture depleted.

sensitive to products (even natural ones) and environmental conditions than those with other types of skin.
